The Nokia 1661 – Simple and Unadulterated Nokia
Nokia has been in the mobile phone market for numerous years and therefore has what most would consider a very good understanding the market. With the Nokia 1661 they have offered a budget no frills phone which satisfies the need of an element of the market which is often overlooked by other manufacturers, the budget or replacement market. This phone provides all that a mobile phone needs to, without the bells and whistles that accompany many other offerings. It’s a simple phone that accepts and makes calls, and has a few additional functions built in, that’s all there is to this phone.
The phone comes with a 1.8 inch TFT display screen which displays 65,000 colours and variants of the colours to give a clear and colourful life like image. The display screen is large enough to provide ample viewing of any images or details of the relevant functions that have been included.
The phone provides a series of alert types to cover all bases, such as a vibration facility, which ensures that you’re alerted to any incoming calls or text messages, even within noisy environments.
The phone comes with a series of wallpapers and themes to allow the owner to alter the phone to mark their own individuality. Ringtones are included as well as the ability to download polyphonic ringtones.
The phone comes with several features that are a handy addition to any mobile phone, such as a flashlight, this feature has always proved to be a popular feature with Nokia owners and it is included within this phone. An organiser provides the means to organise important appointments or events into the phone and be alerted when needed to be, this serves as a useful tool.
The Nokia 1661 is a phone which is built to service a particular market, call it budget or replacement its aim is clear, it does not offer huge memory or cameras or the touch screen that some of the other phones offer, however it also does not come with their price tags.
Nokia have a simple philosophy by the looks of the range of phone they supply, they listen to the consumer then provide a plethora of phones to fill those needs. This phone is one of the budget range, however other phones such as the Nokia E75, is aimed at a different spectrum of users, this in fact is Nokia’s strength and one that has won them many legions of fans.
The author writes on a variety of subjects including the Nokia 1661 and the Nokia E75.
The Nokia X6
The death of MP3 players is on the way. It was seriously felt with the release of Nokia X6, a smartphone that apart from good functionality also carries a good MP3 player. Of course this tendency existed for some time before its release and other companies like Samsung and Apple are also releasing player oriented phones, but in case of Nokia X6 this is really a burial.
Nokia has a very interesting approach concerning phones. As for various latest models they first release an expensive maximal package phone and then a cheaper lighter and improved version. In case of X6 they released a 32 GB version with good headphones and with the sign up to their music service. Naturally this had an impact on the price of the phone. So after the first sales Nokia went on to fix some of the bugs, lower the price by removing the sign up and the headphones and install 16 GB instead of 32 GB. All the functionality was kept, which means that this is still the same smartphone, but for a much lower price.
The reception of X6 varies from review to review, but if you will take a closer look at the reviewers you will see that geeky and smartphone oriented websites tend to look for some slowdowns and disadvantages, while websites that review phones from casual point o view praise this phone as being one of the best in its category. Great MP3 player, good design, touchscreen and great functionality make this a real Nokia product. One of the products that eventually led Nokia on top of the mobile phone business. And even thought a lot of people criticize Nokia’s phones for breaking too often, this happens only because the sales of Nokia are twice as high as the sales of its competitors, so naturally worldwide there are more broken nokias, just because there is an immense number of nokias. Some of the users might experience some problems with the keyboard at first but in time everything gets easier and the phone becomes very comfortable to use. As for the rest of the mentioned disadvantages, they are small and cannot harm the overall good impression of this phone.
Of course generally there are two types of customers those who tend to have one device with maximum functions and those who tend to keep multiple devices. Both of these approaches have their advantages and disadvantages. Multiple devices means more money spent on purchase and possible maintenance, more needed space and more risk of losing one of the devices. Nevertheless specialized devices might have some advantages over all-in-one devices. For example mp3 players can have better sound quality. But the overall tendency is pointed at single devices that can handle all the customer’s needs and Nokia X6 is a phone for people the first type of the customers. If you aim to get all in one X6 is a thing for you, it won’t fail at any part of the functionality.
Nokia X6 is an exceptional phone that already satisfied lots of customers. It has all the features of s smartphone, a MP3 player and in addition to this has awesome design. A great product released by Nokia for all people who like good phones.

Why Would You Want A Blackberry Pearl 3G
style=”text-align:justify;”>
If you have been listening to people going on about the Blackberry Pearl 3G you may want to know what all the fuss is about. At the end of the day with so many great devices already available, do we really need another one? This is definitely a question worth answering and we have tried to list some of the better reasons below.
– When it comes to previous devices, there is nothing quite like the new Blackberry. It is not just about adding a few new gadgets; the whole concept has been reinvented. That means that you really are getting something new when you buy one of these devices.
– The Blackberry Pearl 3G is a lot smaller than any of the previous blackberry phones. So not only is the new Blackberry much more attractive, it is also easier to cope with; you have to agree that the old Blackberry was never that great to look at.
– But the capabilities of this phone have not been sacrificed in order to make it smaller. In fact the Blackberry Pearl 3G can do more than other devices quite an achievement.
– An optical mouse now replaces the old tracker ball mouse which was one of the most annoying features of the old Blackberry. Many people used to complain that the old mouse was not very responsive but now that is no longer a problem.
– Another problem with the old devices were the keyboards which were confusing but this has also been changed on this model. This Blackberry is now using a similar device to other keyboard phones.
– There really is an impressive screen on the Blackberry Pearl 3G. It may be small but it can really bring pictures and video to life.
– One of the best additions to this Blackberry is the in-built camera which allows the user to take great videos and photos.

It is always cheaper to buy directly in stores in India in any city (Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Ahmedabad) rather than to buy online when you can spare time. Prices can vary from store to store and offers can change from festival days (Dussera, Diwali, Sankranti, Pongal, Ugadi, New Year, Christmal, etc.) to non-festival days. You will also be able to get a hands on experience before buying the product if that is new for you.
I have been noticing that some electronic or consumer electronic stores are selling these goods at same price as market price (other electronic stores) but place a higher MRP tag and an offer price tag showing a discount. It helps to check several stores to get a good idea of current prices in the market before deciding to buy. It applies to online shopping as well.

A2dp On Any Nokia? – Nokia
A Bluetooth profile is a wireless interface specification for Bluetooth-based communication between devices. In order to use Bluetooth technology, a device must be compatible with the subset of Bluetooth profiles necessary to use the desired services. A Bluetooth profile resides on top of the Bluetooth Core Specification and (optionally) additional protocols. While the profile may use certain features of the core specification, specific versions of profiles are rarely tied to specific versions of the core specification. For example, there are HFP 1.5 implementations using both Bluetooth 2.0 and Bluetooth 1.2 core specifications.
The way a device uses Bluetooth technology depends on its profile capabilities. The profiles provide standards which manufacturers follow to allow devices to use Bluetooth in the intended manner.
At a maximum, each profile specification contains information on the following topics:
* Dependencies on other formats
* Suggested user interface formats
* Specific parts of the Bluetooth protocol stack used by the protocol. To perform its task, each profile uses particular options and parameters at each layer of the stack. This may include an outline of the required service record, if appropriate.
This article summarizes the current definitions and possible applications of each profile.
This profile defines how high quality audio (stereo or mono) can be streamed from one device to another over a Bluetooth connection. For example, music can be streamed from a mobile phone to a wireless headset or car audio or from a laptop/desktop to a wireless headset.
A2DP was initially used in conjunction with an intermediate Bluetooth transceiver that connects to a standard audio output jack, encodes the incoming audio to a Bluetooth-friendly format, and sends the signal wirelessly to Bluetooth headphones that decode and play the audio. Bluetooth headphones, especially the more advanced models, often come with a microphone and support for the Headset (HSP), Hands-Free (HFP) and Audio/Video Remote Control (AVRCP) profiles.
A2DP is designed to transfer a uni-directional 2-channel stereo audio stream, like music from an MP3 player, to a headset or car radio. This profile relies on AVDTP and GAVDP. It includes mandatory support for the low-complexity SBC codec (not to be confused with Bluetooth’s voice-signal codecs such as CVSDM), and supports optionally: MPEG-1 , MPEG-2, MPEG-4, AAC, and ATRAC, and is extensible to support manufacturer-defined codecs, such as apt-X. Some Bluetooth stacks enforce the SCMS-T digital rights management (DRM) scheme. In these cases, it is impossible to connect certain A2DP headphones for high quality audio.

Nokia’s estimated share of the converged mobile device market was 38% in the third quarter, compared with 41% in the second quarter 2010. Useful Information On Blackberry Repair
BlackBerry repair is often not needed, as these goods are manufactured to the highest standards of construction available. But catastrophic circumstances can make a repair necessary from time to time, and if it’s actually still within the warranty period then you ought to just let Research In Motion (RIM), the organization that makes BlackBerrys, deal with the issue. Right after all, being Canadian, RIM probably has generous more-than-fair consumer policies in location! But obviously ensure that the accurate Blackberry parts are utilized for this operation.
If out of warranty, BlackBerry repair jobs might be handled by a professional repairman or woman or even performed by one inside the simplest cases. Sensitive electronics will possibly require a professional’s tools and expertise, but the mere swapping out of damaged parts ought to be some thing anybody with even a little sense of adventure ought to do!
It’s actually not tough, although 1 ought to be a hundred percent sure to acquire the accurate spares. In reality, it is most likely the number 1 tripping point for many do-it-yourselfers, or DIYers. Make positive you have the proper parts for the BlackBerry repair and the job’s already half done!
Yes, it actually may be that easy, simply because the rest of it’s pretty straightforward. For despite the vast variety of BlackBerry smartphones out for the market these days, most models share common design elements that make the simpler repair jobs straightforward and effortless to carry out. For instance, there are generally four screws at each corner on the back of a BlackBerry.
Remove these and you ought to discover four a lot more underneath. These hold the speaker and battery housing in place, and removing them ought to expose the guts of your ’Berry! By this point, most ’Berrys are as exposed as they will ever be, providing access to the screen, lens, trackball, and keypad too as for the sensitive electronics that must most likely be finest left to a professional repairman or woman.
If you might have absolutely no clue what you are performing, a basic search engine query about the internet needs to be sufficient to give you some ideas. But usually speaking, swapping out spare parts is no huge deal, though it is a little fun the initial few times you try it! Only, again, make positive that you’ve the proper parts for your model of BlackBerry. As an old proverb goes, the whole is the sum of its parts – and if you are missing the correct component, you don’t have a BlackBerry at all!
One thing at the same time created as the BlackBerry means an absence of redundant parts, too, so even if it’s actually just a easy humble side rail, it’s a needed part of what makes for a BlackBerry. Just remember in case you don’t wish to do it yourself or have just a little belief that it might not be feasible to carry out a do it yourself repair, often contact assistance or look for much more instructions since after all like the old saying goes, far better safe than sorry.

Nokia E73 Mode
Nokia E73 Mode is a T-Mobile-specific take on the Nokia E72 announced last year. It comes over the gills of the popular features for both work and play.
It has a tablet shape, with a QVGA screen, keyboard, 5 megapixel camera, and much more.
The E73 mode is released later this week for just $ 70 with contract.
Nokia E73 Mode from T-MobileDESIGN & Build
One of the thinnest mobile device today (0.4 or 10 mm), the E73 packs a QVGA (320×240 pixels) screen and a keyboard useful in a well designed package.
It’s been a while since getting my hands on a smartphone using the form factor, and the E73 mode immediately reminded me what I liked about what Nokia has done here.
The hard plastic and metal casing feels very solid and high quality.
And the keyboard – which is already highly ranked and E71 E71x models – will get tweaked a bit more for the E73 mode, adding features and improving the overall feel.
When you think of QWERTY smartphones, Nokia can not rank high on your list. However, the sales globally proven to be better than most other makers (second only to the side), and the company has certainly had a loyal following.
The matter is that I did not expect such optical directional pad. The D-pad works something like a trackpad, needing only a motion to move it, but it also has the ability to accept button presses for more direct interaction. At first, it is unsettling, today, I do not see using the device without it.
PERFORMANCE
Nokia E73 Mode runs on Symbian OS Series 60 user interface. While not as well known in the U.S., it is very popular in Europe.
One feature that I immediately set the “mode” applications – a feature that helps the device’s name. – Which allows you to set up two different homescreens. This lets you have a homescreen for the job, showing the email, calendar entries, and such while on the clock, as well as a second homescreen for personal use displays SMS messages, your favorite games and other items. The only thing missing is that you can set it to automatically switch to a prescribed time.
Nokia E73 from T-Mode E73 MobileThe Mode is also provided with wireless features. Naturally, it supports 3G network of T-Mobile, and it also has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
This smartphone keeps up with Nokia’s tradition of being packed to gills of software:
* Nokia Web browser with Flash support
* Messaging Nokia for email (HTML email)
* For Mail Exchange for Microsoft Exchange account
* Flash Maps
* Visual Voicemail
* Quickoffice (view and edit documents)
* Psiloc Wireless Presenter
* Business card / barcode scanner
* Nokia Active Notes
* Flash files online file storage
And some other application.
Not to mention, there’s also the Ovi Store (with carrier billing) on the device to download other apps, games, themes, and other items that make the E73 mode fit your lifestyle.
The E73 sports a 1500 mAh battery. I only had a few days for testing now, but I say that the battery life is quite good, though a consistent 3G signal.
Conclusion
I’m looking forward to more time on the Nokia E73 Mode to not only get an idea of how it improved E71/E71x/E72 model, but also to see if I can give the battery a real test . Nokia’s E-series models are known for being hard to crack in this department, and given that the competition is priced higher (the E73 Mode is only $ 70 in a 2-year contract), there is a good chance T- mobile will be the champ in his hands.

How to speed up your blackberry
If you are one of the millions of blackberry users out there, then you may have experienced intermittent slowness and unresponsiveness with your device every now and again. Here’s a few steps and measures you can take to ensure that your blackberry is running just as good as it was the day that it was purchased.
Instructions
1
Available Memory – One of the first things that you are going to want to check on your blackberry device is the amount of available device memory. To do this open the options menu then scroll down to open the status menu. Once you are in the status menu, you should be able to see how much available memory your device has and how much is being used. You should want around 10MB or more available. That is the minimum that i would recommend having on your device.
2
Remove unused applications – If you’re like me, then you probably have loaded a ton of applications onto your blackberry via App World or from performing OTA (over the air) installations from websites, and hardly ever audit the applications you have and determine if you need all of them. It is a good practice to go through your application list every now and again to determine if there are any that you no longer desire to have on the device and remove them. This helps free up space on your device which will then allocate it back to your device. To remove applications, start by clicking on the options menu. Go to Advanced Options, then click on Applications. From this screen you should see a generated list of all of your applications. Scroll through the list and select the application that you want to remove. Push the menu button and delete it. Once deleted, it may prompt you to restart your device. You can either do this now or later depending on how many applications you want to remove at one time.
3
Memory Cleaning – Bet you’ve probably never heard of this little blackberry option. In the blackberry, there is a memory cleaning option that is disabled by default. This is a great little utility that once enabled will allow you to schedule your device to clean out the temporary cache items that are residing in the memory when your device is idle. This is a great utility because sometimes when you have used a few programs and exit them, they do not always release or clean up the memory that they have used. To enable this option navigate to the options menu. Go into the Security Settings menu, then open the Memory Cleaning option. Change the status of this option from disabled to enabled. Once you have enabled it, you can set it to clean the memory when your device has become idle. Configure the settings that you would like to use here. I recommend settings it to clean the device once idle and to check every 5 minutes or so. You can also add a memory cleaner icon to your blackberry’s home menu if you do not want to set it to automatically clean when idle. This will enable you to run it on demand whenever you feel that your device is sluggish.
4
Firmware – Keeping your device firmware up to date is one of the most important things that you can do to ensure that issues with your device have been remediated and you have the most recent options and features available. Many times firmware updates increase the performance of your phone and address memory leaks and problems. To initiate a firmware update from your blackberry, go into your options menu. From their, click on advanced options and then click on wireless update. From here you can check to see if any new firmware version is available for you device. Make sure that you have a decent battery charge of 50% or more before performing this, as it can take up to 2 hours to complete. It is very important that you do not lose power to your phone during this update because a failure can result in the device becoming inaccessible. Click the check for updates button. If there is an update available. Click the install button. This procedure performs a backup of your device and settings so that upon completion, you should retain all of the settings you had previously

Nokia X7 | A Symbian Anna Entertainment Smartphone
Nokia launched the widely anticipated smartphone, Nokia X7, on April 12, 2011. Nokia X7 is Nokia’s first 4-inch entertainment smartphone. The entertainment smartphone is made from toughened glass and seamless stainless steel with a unique and durable design. Nokia X7 offers users all the benefits of the latest Symbian operating system, Symbian Anna*. It’s a fast and fluid experience from browsing the web to scrolling through music gallery.
Nokia X7 comes with free walk-and-drive navigation through the latest Ovi Maps. There’s messaging through Nokia Email and connecting to Facebook, Twitter and RenRen (in China) using Nokia Social. This entertainment smartphone comes with Galaxy on Fire HD and Asphalt 5 HD preinstalled.
Nokia X7 looks like a meaner version of the Nokia N8and features a 680MHz ARM11 processor with a Broadcom BCM2727 GPU, 256MB of RAM and 1GB of ROM.
Nokia X7’s 4-inch, capacitive AMOLED display offers 16 million colors and a resolution of 640 x 360 pixels. And it’s made of tough glass, so it won’t shatter easily.
This entertainment smartphone is purpose-built for entertainment and that includes the media you create yourself. Nokia X7 comes with 8GB memory card pre-installed, with up to 350MB built-in operating memory. It can support MicroSD cards up to 32GB. The 8-megapixel camera with a dual LED flash offers 720p video recording.
This entertainment smartphone measures 119.7 x 62.8 x 11.9mm and weighs 146g. Nokia X7 offers Pentaband 2G/3G network connectivity and 802.11 b/g/n WiFi support. It offers a 3.5mm audio connector for headphones.
The 1200mAH battery is rated for up to 450 hours standby and 4.5 hours talktime on a 3G network and longer over GSM.
A bit unsatisfactory matter is that the entertainment smartphone has no front camera.

*The updated Symbian^3 software released the Nokia X7 and E6-00 is nick-named “Anna”.
Symbian is an operating system (OS) and software platform designed for smartphones and currently maintained by Nokia. The Symbian platform is the successor to Symbian OS and Nokia Series 60; unlike Symbian OS, which needed an additional user interface system, Symbian includes a user interface component based on S60 5th Edition. The latest version, Symbian^3, was officially released in Q4 2010, first used in the Nokia N8.
Symbian OS was originally developed by Symbian Ltd. It is a descendant of Psion’s EPOC and runs exclusively on ARM processors, although an unreleased x86 port existed.
